Spent NYE with the fam. Obviously good eats and crazy laughs with this family. Love them all to death – rang in 2016 with them at midnight and the kids went crazy when Ray’s mom threw a whackload of change on the floors! Of course, Ray gets down on his knees (to become the only adult collecting coins off the ground) because he wanted to collect change to get a car wash, lmao. Had sparklers lit up, had more food, called my parents on Skype – great way to ring in 2016 for me.
Drove a few mins over to our friend’s place to party with the rest of the crew and have some drinks during the first few hours of 2016! Met the cutest French bulldog, Henry! So so so so cute – when I thought I couldn’t love/want Frenchies even more, Henry enters my life! Best group of friends a girl like me could ask for!
We spent New Year’s Day relaxing at home and visiting the Ice Castles at William Hawrelak Park! It’s such a great activity for the family – they also have a skating rink open. The castle is lit up with LED lights and graced with Disney-esque music. Great photo ops at any angle within the castle 😉 See my previous post for more about the visit and more photos!
The following day we had the annual Cebu Society of Edmonton’s Christmas/New Year’s celebration. Super fun with the family. It was nice to dress up and throw some heels on!
Overall, a great start to the year. Hopefully it’s indicative of the days to come!
